A tropical woodland, lake Manyara National
park has an exotic ambience unique to itself. Presenting a remarkable
photographic scene, the shallow, alkaline sod a lake is often tinted pink
by masses of-flamingos.
However, its most famous attraction is
certainly its tree-climbing lions often seen lounging in acacia trees with
their oversized bodies precariously draped over branches and legs dangling
in the air.Mixed Manyara Country supports diverse and abundant
animal species with impressive herds of buffaloes, Zebra, wildebeest and
giraffe.
It is known as one of the finest places
for elephant watching in Tanzania and boasts an impressive number of baboon,
as well.
