North of Zanzibar, Pemba has been famous for centuries for its clove
production.
Today, the Pemba channel (2400 ft. deep) which separates the
island from the continent, has become undisputably the best place for deep
sea fishing, because it is here that the biggest catch, on the East African
coast has been made.Pemba also has pristine great reefs and a varied fauna
including the great white shark and giant turtles.
